Roach Treatment Preparation Checklist

To ensure a safe and effective roach treatment, please complete all steps below before your scheduled service. Proper preparation allows our technicians to fully treat problem areas and achieve the best results.

Note: For heavily infested homes or apartments we may require more prep work depending on where you are seeing them at!

Emptying and Clearing Cupboards:

The first step in preparing for a roach treatment is to completely empty your kitchen cupboards. Remove all food and items, covering the food with a plastic sheet and placing it on a table. This allows for thorough treatment application and prevents contamination.

Clearing Under Sink Areas:

Next, empty all items from under the kitchen and bathroom sinks. Roaches are attracted to moist environments, making these areas common hiding spots. Clearing them ensures better treatment coverage and eliminates potential roach habitats.

Clearing Floor Space:

To ensure proper coverage, pull the stove and refrigerator away from the walls, pick up and remove any items from the floor, particularly near walls. Take out all trash:

Ensuring People and Pet Safety: Important

• During the roach treatment, it is REQUIRED to keep people and pets outside the house/apartment for a minimum of 2 to 3 hours, including treatment and drying time.
• For pet safety, remove dogs, cats, and roaming pets from the property, and cover fish tanks, bird cages, and reptile cages with a thick blanket or plastic.
• After treatment, wash pet dishes with warm soapy water and remove food and water for their well-being.

Maintaining Food Safety: Important

✔ Clean all food preparation surfaces thoroughly, including countertops, stoves, cutting boards, and tables, using warm soapy water.

✔ Cover kitchen utensils and appliances before treatment to protect them from exposure. If left uncovered, wash them with warm soapy water after the treatment.

After Treatment Instructions

✔Initial Service: Stay out of the home for 3–4 hours

Follow-Up Service: Stay out of the home for 1–2 hours

After Re-Entry

• Follow all after-treatment recommendations sent prior to your next service
• Ensure all treated areas are completely dry
• Wash all exposed dishes, cookware, utensils, and pet dishes with warm soapy water

Follow-up Treatment

✔ A follow-up treatment is scheduled two to three weeks after the initial service.

✔ Cabinets do not need to be emptied for the follow-up treatment.

✔ People and pets MUST remain outside the home or apartment for at least one hour after the follow-up treatment.

IMPORTANT HEALTH NOTICE:
Individuals diagnosed with COPD, experiencing breathing difficulties, or relying on supplemental oxygen are strongly advised to vacate the premises during the treatment process. It is imperative that they STAY AWAY from the house/apartment until the chemical agent has completely dried. Please be aware that any adverse consequences resulting from noncompliance with this notification lie beyond our responsibility. We will not be held accountable for any outcomes resulting from noncompliance with our safety protocols. Your safety is of utmost importance to us. If you feel that the chemical is not yet dry, kindly refrain from entering the house/apartment until it is completely dried or adequately ventilated. Please note that we reserve the right to decline treatment if this guideline is disregarded. Furthermore, failure to adhere to this protocol may lead to the cancellation and postponement of services.
